Destiny As Usual

November 05, 2009

Notice how it ended the way it began, the World Series’ first decade of the 21st century? The New York Yankees with a championship, already looking for the next one. it goes once again New York Yankees World Series Champs !  Although it’s been a while ,with some new additions to the team and brand new home in the Bronx it’s destiny as usual for the Yanks. For those of you who have a score card at home that’s 27 World Series titles the champs 40th Pennant ,and four Yankees with 5 rings .Congrats to Derek Jeter who broke a ton of huge records this year like passing Yankees legend Lou Gehrig for the team’s all-time hits record, Mariano Rivera best closer of all time became the second reliever to reach the 500-save milestone this year and Andy Pettite ranks among the all-time greats in one of the most important statistics in baseball. His 18 career postseason wins are three more than John Smoltz’s previous record and what do you say about Posada but ” hip hip JORGE!!!!!”

And the MVP .... Statsui ties World Series record with six RBIs in Game 6.The six RBIs tied a World Series record held by Yankees infielder Bobby Richardson, who drove in his own half dozen in Game 3 on Oct. 8, 1960, in a series his team ultimately lost to the Pirates. And Matsui’s eight RBIs in the series matched a record no one has touched since Reggie Jackson did it in 1977 and ‘78.

I guess what we are trying to say is GET SOME !!!!

P.S : This informative post was dedicated to the city of Boston .
