DQM and Chocolate Skateboards have released a special collaboration collection to commemorate Chocolate’s 20th, and DQM’s 10th, Anniversary. The collection is available in store and online now, and features new, original artwork by renowned designer and illustrator Evan Hecox. Colorado-based Hecox has been an important part of Chocolate’s visual identity since 1997, beginning with his design of the company’s logo. His artwork for this collection is centered around one of the most iconic skate spots in New York City, Astor Place.
We have just received a new selection of bags from Herschel Supply Co.‘s Fall 14 collection. Included in the new arrivals is the popular Novel duffle, available in dark army and black, which features a hideaway shoe compartment perfect for keeping travellers organized. We have also received the Woodlands zipper style backpack and the Retreat buckle style backpack in an Army color way; both styles are constructed from a water-resistant coated cotton poly fabric detailed with full-grain leather and are equipped with a laptop sleeve compartment. New decks from Cliché Skateboards have just arrived this week. The delivery includes their Typewriter pro series decks for team riders Pete Eldridge, JB Gillet, Javier Mendizabal and Lem Villemin. The Lucas Puig pro model features Cliché‘s signature Impact Plus board technology, which promises to pop stronger and longer for the most demanding skaters. The limited edition Last Supper Cruiser with artwork by Marc Mckee has also just arrived. Pick them up while the sun’s still out!
DQM and Chocolate Skateboards have joined with Mast Brothers Chocolate to produce a limited edition chocolate bar to celebrate Chocolate’s 20th and DQM’s 10th Anniversaries. Based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, the Mast Brothers are pioneers of bean-to-bar craft chocolate making, working with single origin cacao to create some of the finest artisanal chocolates in the world. DQM and Chocolate Skateboards have released a dark chocolate and sea salt flavored bar, wrapped in artwork by Evan Hecox.
With a storied history of talented skateboarders and original and iconic artwork representing their brand, it was a pleasure for DQM to host our friends at Chocolate Skateboards for a great weekend in New York. In celebration of their first 20 years in the business, Chocolate held a special exhibition featuring the work of Evan Hecox along with archival photos, original sketches, board graphics and other special pieces at Sideshow Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
